ABSTRACT

According to the subject characteristics of radiation oncology, three teaching practices were carried out in the teaching of standardized residency training: teaching situation transformation under the guidance of constructivism theory, expanding teaching with points to areas, and organ system-centered medical classroom under the guidance of case analysis. At the same time, it combines the guidance of the residents' active exploration, integrated thinking and cooperative learning. Through the modulation of teaching and learning practices guided by constructivism, the residents' learning and understanding of radiation oncology knowledge and the integration and construction ability of "organ system-centered" medical knowledge are promoted, their active learning potential and innovative thinking ability are stimulated, and finally the teaching quality of this specialty is improved.

ABSTRACT

Utilizing of the WeChat Mini Programs (WMPs) in optimizing the paradigm of Continuing Medical Education (CME) is a promising avenue to improve training mode for physician. Here, we introduce the development status of WMP, and classify them into professional societies, hospital departments, academic institutions, pharmaceutical technology companies and individuals according to the operation subjects. This paper also analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of WMPs, and puts forward the establishment of authoritative and highly recognized mini programs that can be awarded CME credits. Through the "Internet plus medical care" strategy, we should integrate network resources to enhance the overall level of continuing medical education, so as to provide a good platform for related medical workers.

ABSTRACT

At present, the cultivation of exploratory thinking and the ability to use medical public big data is easy to be ignored, which leads to the obvious lack of the ability of graduate students in oncology to use public big data to discover and confirm new clinical phenomena and new laws in scientific research. This study introduces the access and download tools of common medical big databases such as TCGA, introduces the learning method of repeated classic analysis cases, and proposes research methods to verify clinical hypothesis using public big data. It is expected to provide useful enlightenment and reference for improving the research ability of graduate students in oncology specialty to find clinical problems and summarize scientific laws.

ABSTRACT

Objective To isolate and identify the lung cancestem like cellfrom the cell line NCI-H1650 .MethodThe NCI-H1650 cellwere continuously cultured in serum-free medium with human insulin ,recombinanepidermal grow th facto(EGF) ,recombinanbasifibroblasgrowth facto(bFGF) and bovine serum albumin(BSA) ,and paclitaxel waadopted to induce the stem cell.Flow cytometry and immunofluorescenstaining were used to analyze the expression levelof lung cancestem cell markeCD133 and CD326 .The expressionof stem cell related markeOct4 ,Nanog and Sox-2 were detected by RT-Pcand West-ern blo.ResultThe NCI-H1650 cellcontinuously cultured by serum-free medium and induced by combining paclitaxel induction showed the spherical suspension growth .Compared with NCI-H1650 cellcultured by serum ,CD133 and CD326 had significantly high expression and the expression levelof Oct4 ,Nanog and Sox-2 were significantly increased (P<0 .05) .Conclusion Adopting the serum-free culture in vitro combined with paclitaxel foinducing NCI-H1650 cellcan effectively isolate the stem cellamong them.

ABSTRACT

Objective To compare the beneficial efficiency of chemotherapy combined with radiotherapy or radiotherapy alone,for locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Methods A systematic review of randomized controlled trials(RCT) on this subject was performed.Mortality rate(MR),event-free survival(EFS),loco-regional control rate(LRR) and distant metastasis rate(DMR) were analyzed.Meta-analysis was carried out to compare the efficiency of adding chemotherapy to radiotherapy or radiotherapy alone.Results Totally 16 trials involving 3 768 patients were included.Our results showed that:① Patients receiving concomitant chemotherapy had better 2-,3-and 5-year MR,EFS,LRR and DMR compared with those receiving radiotherapy alone;② Neoadjuvant chemotherapy improved LRR and DMR in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma when compared with radiotherapy alone;③ There was no significant difference between adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy alone in MR,EFS,LRR and DMR.Conclusion Adding chemotherapy to radiotherapy improves survival rate and EFS of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma,reduces LRR and DMR of these patients when compared with radiotherapy alone.We believe that adding chemotherapy to radiotherapy is a very effective therapy for patients with locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
